If you're suspicious about Filipino girls for dating, you're probably asking yourself why a beautiful Philippine woman would want to date someone overweight and old from the United States. And chances are, you're thinking it's all because of the money.
However, let me be the first one to tell you that it's not always the case. Not all in the people in the Philippines are poor, and while the average Filipino only earns about a fraction of what people in the US, Europe, or Japan earn, it doesn't mean they have less pride.
On the contrary, you'll be considered crude and tasteless if the first thing you say to a Filipino is how rich you are and how you can get her "out of poverty."

The answer is simple: it's because of Filipino men and the typical machismo culture in the Philippines.
The sad thing about Philippine culture is that it's quite acceptable for men to have affairs even when they're still very much married to their spouses. And while the men think it's okay, it certainly is NOT okay for the women.
And since there is no divorce in the Philippines, only the long-winded and expensive process called annulment, many women are forced to either put up with their husbands or to separate without getting their marriages formally dissolved.
Aside from the typical cheating Filipino male, Filipino women are also wary that the average Filipino man's salary would not be enough to provide a good life for her and her future children.
So, there you have it. It's not really about the money, nor about the Philippines having more women than men (it's actually NOT true). The main reason why many (although not all) Filipino girls for dating would rather not marry a Filipino man is because they don't want to suffer when they get married.
